I am Dr. Audrey Elion and I'm running for Memphis-Shelby County School Board District 5. I am disappointed, angered, and saddened by how much our educational system in Memphis Shelby County Schools has deteriorated. I advocate school board transparency and accountability. Our literacy rates are low, violence has increased, school buildings are dilapidated, students are apathetic about school, and the mental health needs of the students and teachers are rising. I am an advocate and voice for those whose voices are not heard.
